The lists include 9,892 applications, or 15 candidates per seat, of which 3,936 are women (i.e. 40%), said the same source, adding that the number of regional advisors who have filed their applications for the regional election is 300, or 44.24% of members currently exercising their functions.
The applications broken down by political affiliation are as follows:
-The Justice and Development Party (PJD), the Authenticity and Modernity Party (PAM), the Istiqlal (PI) and the National Rally of Independents (RNI) submitted 678 candidates, a ratio of 6.85%.
- The Socialist Union of Popular Forces (USFP) presented 668 candidates, or 6.75%.
- The Party of Progress and Socialism (PPS) presented 640 candidates, representing 6.47%.
- The Popular Movement (MP) presented 634 candidates, representing 6.41%.
- The Constitutional Union (UC) presented 539 candidates, or 5.45%.
- The United Socialist Party (PSU) presented 482 candidates, or 4.87%.
- The Coalition of the Left Federation submitted 473 nominations, or 4.78%.
- The Front of Democratic Forces (FFD) presented 418 candidates, or 4.23%.
- The New Democrats (NEO) submitted 348 nominations, or 3.52%.
- The Democratic and Social Movement (MDS) presented 313 candidates, representing 3.16%.
- The Party of the Environment and Sustainable Development (PEDD) presented 273 candidates, representing 2.76%.
- The Moroccan Liberal Party (PML) submitted 265 candidates, or 2.68%.
- The Moroccan Green Party presented 232 candidates, or 2.35%.
- The Al Amal party presented 212 candidates, representing 2.14%.
- The Equity Party (PE) presented 211 candidates, or 2.13%.
- The Party of Unity and Democracy (PUD) presented 200 candidates, representing 2.02%.
- The Social Center Party (PCS) presented 192 candidates, or 1.94%.
- The Reform and Development Party (PRD) submitted 174 candidates, representing 1.76%.
- The Shura and Istiqlal Party presented 142 candidates, or 1.44%.
- The Party of Rebirth and Virtue (PRV) presented 119 candidates, or 1.20%.
Regarding the other political bodies, 7 in total, the candidacies presented with accreditation of these formations do not exceed 6.28% of the total number of those submitted.
Within the framework of the general elections related to the election of members of the House of Representatives and members of councils of municipalities and districts as well as members of regional councils, scheduled for September 8, 2021, the period devoted to the filing of declarations of candidacy ended Wednesday, August 25, 2021.
This operation took place under normal conditions, marked by a significant influx of citizens compared to previous elections. The number of political bodies that took part in this operation is 31 parties, including an alliance of parties founded on the occasion of these elections.
The number of candidacies for the legislative, communal and regional elections remains provisional until those who declared their candidacies during the last hours of the filing deadline receive the final receipt in accordance with the legal provisions in force.
The Minister of the Interior informs that the election campaign for the above-mentioned elections began at the first hour of Thursday, August 26, 2021 and will end on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at midnight.
