"More than half of the 17 million Moroccans who had been registered on the electoral lists voted and participated in this historic day," said the Spanish news agency.
"The voter turnout reached 50.18% at the end of the voting process, surpassing the figure of the 2016 elections, which did not exceed 43%," noted the news agency.
"The turnout was particularly high in the Kingdom's southern region, where it reached 64% in some provinces," pointed out the Spanish agency, highlighting the transparency of the electoral process.
Europa Press recalled that the U.S. Embassy in Rabat congratulated the Kingdom for successfully organizing the legislative, regional, and communal elections.
