Initially, a single-product agency (newswires), MAP has diversified over the past ten years its products to include all media segments.
Through this variety of products and services offered, MAP, which celebrates its 62nd birthday on Thursday, has emerged as a public hub and key provider of information, particularly with the success of its continuous news channel "M24" and its radio "RIM."
The Agency's position has also been strengthened in recent years in the field of publishing through its various publications, including two daily newspapers in arabic "Al Yaoum Al Maghribi" and in French "Maroc Le Jour," the monthly intelligent magazine "BAB" in French and Arabic versions, as well as the quarterly magazine dedicated to the Maghreb cultures "Maghreb 1".
The Agency's publishing activity also includes the annual publication of MAP Album, "News from Morocco" and "Factual Morocco" in four languages, and other occasional publications.
Photography is another field where MAP has made enormous achievements in the past ten years. The Agency's photography collection is expanding every day, and the strengthening of the MAP Services and MAP Digital offer, are tailored to meet the aspirations of its customers.
MAP has also ventured into the use of artificial intelligence tools, including automatic format generation (Text, Image and AV Archiving, Automated Text: Sports Business, Weather and Machine Translation).
It has thus taken a new leap in the implementation of its digital roadmap, through the deployment of an artificial intelligence (AI) platform for the automatic production of newswires and tagging of its digital archives.
Constantly in line with the rapid and accelerated changes in the media field, MAP, the first Agency in Africa, aims, through this new project, to increase its editorial expertise and diversify its editorial capacities by integrating news information and communication technologies.
In this regard, MAP will work to increase its production with the help of artificial intelligence and to expand its regional offer through exhaustive coverage of local information.
With around twenty news websites and twelve regional news websites, MAP launched in 2021 "Dibnews.ma" with the ambition to become a reference media for young people aged 15-35.
"DIB News" (Digital Information Broadcast) website is intended mainly for an urban population that seeks platforms to express their creativity.
With an international context, characterized by the Covid-19 pandemic, MAP launched last year "mapanticorona.map.ma," which aims to provide verified and credible information on the pandemic and to fight against fake news.
Pursuing its reform dynamic, MAP intends to develop a vision for a strategic plan for 2023-2027, with the ultimate goal to improve its products and strengthen its positioning continentally, regionally, and internationally.
