African Men's Handball Championship: Morocco Finishes 3rd, Progresses to Group G of World Championship

Cairo - Morocco's handball team has secured the third spot of the 25th edition of the African Men's Handball Championship, being held in Egypt, after its victory on Monday in the placement match against Tunisia by 28 to 24.

Morocco progresses to group G of the 2023 Men's World Championship in Poland and Sweden, alongside Croatia, the United States and the winner of the final of the African Men's Handball Championship played Monday night between Egypt and Cape Verde.

The Tunisian selection, in the fourth, place will play in group H of the World Cup alongside Denmark, Belgium and Bahrain.

During this African Competition, Morocco defeated Cameroon (35-28), then lost to Egypt (21-36) in the group stage.

In the quarter-finals, the national team beat Guinea (28-24), before losing to Cape Verde in the semi-finals (19-23).
