Benmoussa told the press after his meeting with the most representative unions that the ministry and unions are committed to continuing consultations to reach an agreement on the provisions of the draft new status of the teaching profession.
In this respect, the Moroccan minister added that the approach adopted by his department in the dialogue with unions has achieved important steps towards a comprehensive reform of the education system.
This meeting, which is part of the social dialogue, has reached a convergence of views on several points including the profession, the missions of the teaching profession, the professional career, incentives, rights and duties of teachers among others, he noted, noting that 17 meetings have been held so far at the level of the technical committee.
Emphasizing the roadmap for a good-quality public school with the main focus on the student, the teacher and the educational institution, he said that the success of this project is essential to improve public schools.
