Under the effective presidency of the Khalifa General Sereigne Babacar Sy Mohamed Mansour, represented by ambassador Sheikh Tidiane Sy, the official ceremony of this great religious gathering of three days was marked by the participation of an important Moroccan delegation, composed of the ambassador of HM the King to Senegal, Hassan Naciri, Mohammed Lekbir Attijani, Sheikh of the Zawiya Tijania of Fez, Abdeslam Lazaar, member of the High Council of the Ulema of the Kingdom, Abdellatif Beghdouri Achkari of the Mohammed VI Foundation of African Ulema, as well as several presidents of the local Councils of Ulema.
Speaking on this occasion, president of the Tijane Coordination of Dakar, Hadj Tidiane Gaye praised the high patronage that HM King Mohammed VI has never ceased to grant to this event and His constant support for the holding of these Islamic Cultural Days in Dakar, highlighting the noble actions and efforts that the Sovereign is deploying to defend the causes of Islam and Muslims around the world.
For his part, Minister of Environment, Sustainable Development and Ecological Transition, Alioune Ndoye, representing president Macky Sall, highlighted the particularity of the exemplary relations linking the Kingdom of Morocco to Senegal in all areas and the strength and authenticity of spiritual relations and historical ties between the two countries, praising the presence of the strong Moroccan delegation at this event.
The Senegalese official noted that this religious event of great communion constitutes the beautiful illustration of the deep spiritual relations linking the two brotherly countries.
In his speech on behalf of the Moroccan delegation, Naciri emphasized the special interest and constant concern of HM King, Commander of the Faithful, for the Tijanes of Senegal and the various tariqas and Sufi families of this brotherly African country, stressing the strength and depth of the ties of brotherhood between the Moroccan and Senegalese peoples, under the leadership of the two Heads of State, HM King Mohammed VI and His brother the president of the Republic of Senegal, Macky Sall.
HM the King's ambassador said that this event is an ideal opportunity to enshrine and further develop the distinguished historical and spiritual relations uniting the two countries.
He also stressed that the participation of Morocco in this event on High Royal Instructions attests to the esteem of HM the King to Sufi families in this brotherly country and reflects the attachment of the Kingdom of Morocco to the values of Islam of the middle way and moderation.
