In a presentation of this program before the Houses of Representatives and Advisors, the Head of Government underlined that this national project, intended to lay the foundations of a new generation of social work, allows for improving the living conditions of a larger number of families, noting that the program will encompass several categories, far exceeding the beneficiaries of all previous social programs.
Taking into account the targeted categories and the unprecedented budget allocated to these measures, as well as the expected positive results, the Head of Government stressed that it is a matter of "institutionalizing a more equitable and more sustainable solidarity-based national social policy, as desired by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, investing in the present for a better future, reiterating the bonds of trust and promoting hope in future social stability".
The success of this social project requires collective support around the values of solidarity and tolerance, Akhannouch said, adding that "the objective is the establishment of a new phase in the development path of the Kingdom, where the citizen is at the center of the concern of the various projects and policies of the social State desired by His Majesty the King".
The measures taken by the government in this direction will contribute to creating positive effects on the family in particular and on the Kingdom in general, through improving social and human development indicators, reducing poverty and precariousness levels and eliminating social inequalities, in addition to investing in human capital, and in particular young children, supporting the most precarious social strata, in particular women and the elderly, and improving access to education and health, the Head of Government pointed out.
These measures will also contribute to reducing territorial inequalities and ensuring a regular income for families earning income from seasonal activities, by guaranteeing care and targeting children with disabilities, the Head of Government added.
