The fees for the Hajj 1445 H season supervised by the Ministry should amount to around 66,000 dirhams, an estimated increase of around 3,200 DH compared to the previous season, said the Minister of Endowments and Islamic Affairs, Ahmed Taoufiq, in a statement to the press following the meeting.
This increase in pilgrimage costs is essentially due to the rise in air fares, as well as to the increase in certain taxes and the rates for certain services, the Minister explained.
The Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs will unveil the final cost of the Hajj 1445 H season as soon as the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has notified it of all the service rates, probably next week, he said.
