The commission also praised efforts to open up unclassified rural roads and tracks, noting that the results of this operation covered a total of 624 kilometers in 300 douars and 4 provinces.
The commission then examined the project to build the "Tassa Ouikan" dam, with a storage capacity of 3 million m3 at a cost of around 449.6 million dirhams, which will contribute to local development, promote local products and encourage ecological tourism. Work relating to this project is scheduled to start in January 2024.
In addition, the operation to clear public buildings and housing collapsed during the earthquake will cover 2,687 douars.
This operation, worth 300 million dirhams, was the subject of a partnership agreement between the Ministry of Equipment and Water and the Ministry of the Interior, under the terms of which the Ministry of Equipment and Water will supply the public works machinery and the Ministry of the Interior will provide the necessary manpower and materials.
