Morocco's Election to UNHRC Presidency, a 'Remarkable International Achievement' (Jordan’s NHRC)

Amman - Morocco's election to the presidency of the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) for the year 2024 is a "remarkable international achievement" for the Kingdom in defending human rights, said Jordan's National Human Rights Council.

"The Kingdom of Morocco, the voice of wisdom, moderation and the middle way, will be able to carry out its mission successfully" in chairing this UN body, said the Jordanian NHRC in a statement sent to MAP news agency.

"We consider Morocco's election to the presidency of the UN Human Rights Council to be a victory for us all," the Jordanian Council stressed.
