According to the preliminary investigation, the individuals arrested are involved in the mediation aimed at organizing irregular immigration in the rural area "Ekiwin" in the province of Tinghir, by providing documents containing fraudulent data in order to obtain entry visas to European countries, stressed a police source, noting that the bookseller arrested is suspected of having falsified these documents.
Searches carried out in the bookshop belonging to the latter led to the seizure of two computers containing digital traces of a number of passports, employment contracts and various documents registered in the name of third parties, the same source added.
Three suspects were taken into custody, while the others were subjected to a judicial investigation under the supervision of the competent Public Prosecutor's Office, with a view to elucidating the ins and outs of this case and determining any possible ramifications of this criminal activity, the same source added.
