The three-day international event is organized by the Faculty of Sciences-Mohammed V University of Rabat and the Miftah-Essaad Foundation for the Intangible Capital of Morocco, in partnership with the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM) and the Water Embassy association.

Speaking at the event, Charifa Lalla Badr-Saoud Al Alaoui, President of the MiftahEssaad Foundation for the Intangible Capital of Morocco, noted that the organization of this meeting reflects a growing awareness of the water issue, which is strongly impacted by climate change.

Highlighting the Royal attention paid to this vital substance and to ways of rationalizing its efficient use, she noted that the National Program for Drinking Water Supply and Irrigation 2020-2027 is a continuation of the dam policy skilfully put in place under the impetus of the late HM Hassan II, and of current initiatives, including the water highway between the Sebou and Bouregreg basins.

She added that the MiftahEssaad Foundation's work focuses on "water-related risks" and the means to protect this vital commodity by acting on various fronts, including skills and heritage, through its presence in different regions of the Kingdom.
