During their talks, held on the sidelines of the 79th session of the UN General Assembly, both ministers expressed their satisfaction at the strong ties of brotherhood and cooperation between the two countries, as well as the convergence of views on a number of issues of mutual interest.

The meeting provided an opportunity for Bourita and Hamakuni Haimbe to discuss ways to further consolidate and broaden the scope of cooperation between the two countries.
