Lieutenant General, FAR Inspector General and Commander of South Zone Receives Lieutenant General, Chief of General Staff of Saudi Armed Forces

Rabat - On High Instructions of His Majesty the King, Supreme Commander and Chief of the General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Mohammed Berrid, Inspector General of the FAR and Commander of the South Zone, received on Tuesday at the FAR General Staff in Rabat, Lieutenant General Fayyad bin Hamad Al-Ruwaili, Chief of the General Staff of the Saudi Armed Forces, on a working visit to Morocco from October 28 to November 2, 2024, at the head of a large military delegation.

The talks, attended by the Saudi Ambassador in Rabat, the Military Attaché to the Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Morocco, the Heads of Office of the FAR General Staff and Inspectors of the Royal Air Force and Royal Navy, focused on opportunities to further promote and strengthen military cooperation, a statement from the FAR General Staff said.

During the meeting, the two officials welcomed the positive track record of military cooperation between the two countries, including training and exchanges of visits.

Moroccan-Saudi military cooperation is regulated by the Military-Technical Cooperation Framework Agreement, signed in December 2015. This agreement covers training, defense industry, logistical support, transfer of military expertise, military medical services and exchange of visits.
