Hajij, who is also President of the African Volleyball Confederation (CAVB), was honoured by the FIVB alongside other prominent international figures, an FRMVB press release states.

According to the same source, this award is in recognition of Hajij's efforts as a "transformational leader of the Volleyball Family" at Arab, African and international level.

The President of the FRMVB had previously received several distinctions in acknowledgment of her contributions to this sport in Morocco and Africa, the press release concludes.
