ANP, which has published its financial results for 2019, explains this rise by increases of 12.6% in coal traffic to 10.08 million tons, 20% in sulphur traffic to 6.6 million tons and 2.5% in container traffic to 12.4 million tons.
However, phosphate traffic fell by nearly 14% to 9.6 million tons last year, ANP adds in its financial communication.
ANP also reports that its net income amounted to MAD 76.7 billion in 2019 compared to MAD 147 billion a year earlier (-47.9%).
As for the turnover, it continued its progression by posting in 2019 nearly MAD 1.8 billion against MAD 1.7 bln in 2018 (+4.1%), adds the same source.
