Speaking at the opening of the cabinet meeting, El Otmani underlined the need to implement confinement rules and cooperate with public authorities in order to stop the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.

The Government Chief welcomed, on this occasion, the high instructions as well as the initiatives undertaken by HM King Mohammed VI that prioritize the health of citizens and which have confirmed the Kingdom's leadership and mobilization to curb the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.

El Otmani also stressed that the government works as a team, particularly in these circumstances that require solidarity and cooperation, calling on the government members to increase efforts in order to address the challenges facing the country in these difficult circumstances, said Saaid Amzazi, Minister of National Education, Vocational Training, Higher Education and Scientific Research, government spokesperson, at a press briefing held following the government's meeting.

Priority is given now to the fight against the spread of Covid-19 and to the protection of citizens, particularly the most vulnerable groups, he pointed out.

El Otmani also expressed his congratulations to Saaid Amzazi and Othman El Firdaouss for the confidence placed on them by His Majesty the King, wishing them success in their governmental missions.
