During this session chaired by Habib El-Malki, speaker of the lower house, minister of Labour and Professional Insertion, Mohamed Amkraz, welcomed the commitment of the MPs, majority and opposition, to bring the text to a swift conclusion so as to serve the higher interests of the nation.
The representatives of the parliamentary groups and grouping, for their part, paid tribute to the efforts of HM King Mohammed VI and his far-sighted approach to the prevention of the new coronavirus pandemic.
While advocating strict enforcement of the bill and fair treatment of employers and employees, the MPs called for solidarity and a spirit of consensus at this exceptional time.
They also pleaded for greater support for Moroccan companies to protect jobs, notably through the adoption of all preventive measures to ensure the safety of workers.
The bill will make it possible to adopt a series of exceptional measures to support employers in difficult situations and their employees affected by the fallout from the pandemic.
These measures also include the payment of an indemnity for employees and trainees in training/insertion, particularly for fishermen and other employees who are on temporary work stoppage and who are declared for the month of February 2020 to the CNSS.
