This meeting was an opportunity to broaden and deepen the reflection on the consequences of this pandemic and to focus on the role of political parties in national mobilization, said El Otmani, quoted in a statement by the department of the head of government, welcoming the various communication initiatives of political parties in this sensitive phase.

He further stressed that, on the high instructions of HM King Mohammed VI, who is following the situation closely, Morocco has initiated several proactive and preventive measures that have enabled it to avoid the worst, including the imposition of health containment and the declaration of a state of health emergency.

El Otmani also praised the national mobilization and cohesion of Moroccans who have shown solidarity in order to overcome the repercussions of this pandemic and combat it with a purely Moroccan approach, added the same source.

For their part, the leaders of the political parties lauded the national mobilization under the leadership of HM King Mohammed VI, as well as the quality measures and achievements that the Kingdom has made during this period, the statement stressed.

They also welcomed the initiative to hold this meeting, stressing the importance of the complementarity of the action of the various institutions, in full compliance with the principles of the rule of law.

 The meeting was also an opportunity to inform the head of government of a number of observations and proposals made by the political parties regarding this difficult situation.
