The film Myopia, a Morocco-Canada co-production, won the "Regards d'ici" prize awarded by TV5 Québec/Canada, the Jury's Special Prize in addition to the Special Mention for its performance.
In a statement to MAP, the artist said she was proud of the awards obtained during this event which is held each year in Montreal in Canada, in recognition of a long work over the past years.
"It is also a good start for this film to pave the way for new participations in international festivals," she underlined.
Myopia tells the story of Fatem, pregnant in her sixth month, forced to leave her village in the mountains, to seek glasses for the elder of her village who is the only person able to read the letters sent by their family members working in the cities.
