The discussions focused on monitoring the regular supply of cereals and flour and the marketing of the national production of cereals under good conditions, said the ministry in a statement on Monday.
All the federations representing the operators have expressed their firm commitment to ensuring the collection of national cereal production from farmers under good conditions and permanently keeping the cereal stock at the current level, making it possible to cover at least 4 to 5 months of national consumption needs.
In addition, the government will set up an incentive-based marketing system to encourage the collection of national production at remunerative prices for the benefit of wheat producers for the 2019-2020 crop year.
According to the same source, the measures are related in particular to a target price of 280 dh/quintal to the mill, for standard quality, a flat-rate subsidy of 5.00 dh/ql, for the quantities of soft wheat produced nationally during the primable period from June 1 to July 31, 2020.
It also concerns a storage bonus of 2.00 dh/ql per fortnight, granted to storage organizations for the quantities of national soft wheat collected from June 1 to July 31, 2020, added the ministry, which said that this bonus will be enforced during the storage period set until December 31, 2020 with the declining balance option up to 7% as of the end of September.
In addition, the suspension of customs duties will be extended beyond June 15, 2020 in order to keep the import cost price at an accessible level.
