These presentations gave information about the evolution of the epidemiological situation in the country and the effectiveness of the lockdown currently in force, as well as the negative effects of this pandemic on all aspects of social and economic life, said Minister of National Education, Vocational Training, Higher Education and Scientific Research, government spokesperson, Saaid Amzazi, in a statement at the end of the Government Council.
He added that the Council also debated, by videoconference, the measures taken to reduce the impact of this pandemic in particular on vulnerable groups, while attaching importance to the measures adopted to preserve the health and safety of citizens, to provide support to the impacted categories and institutions and to ensure that markets are supplied in a continuous way and with sufficient quantity.
The meeting also discussed the gradual revitalization of economy and social life with a view to developing a roadmap for the country's economic take-off, mainly for structural and strategic sectors such as industry, commerce, tourism, crafts, construction, energy and mining, while giving great importance to the promotion of local production.
In the area of social solidarity, a presentation was given on the measures taken in favor of people with disabilities, the homeless, as well as women in difficult situations, the statement said, adding that emphasis was laid, in the field of education, training and scientific research, on the need to ensure pedagogical continuity through remote learning.
