"We welcome the strong mobilization and anticipation that have characterized the strategy by the Kingdom of Morocco to contain the spread of the virus," said Haruko Hirose, President of the Association and former Ambassador of Japan to Morocco. 

She also noted that "the collaborative approach associating the public and private sectors is an innovative approach which can be retained as good practice in the fight against the new coronavirus".

Announcing a donation of 500,000 yen (5,000 dollars) to the Special Fund to manage the fight against Covid-19, Hirose stressed that this symbolic gesture pays tribute to the leadership of HM King Mohammed VI who initiated the setting up of this special fund.
