"Wiqaytna", based on Bluetooth technology and whose use is voluntary, notifies its users in case of prolonged physical proximity with another user who tests positive for Coronavirus in the last 21 days after the contact, a statement by the ministry of Health said Monday.
Following this notification, the ministry of Health teams carry out an assessment of the risk of exposure and, if necessary, come into contact with the notified case, specified the statement.
This mobile solution, which is part of efforts to combat the spread of the novel coronavirus, is being launched as part of a national awareness campaign under the theme "Stay vigilant, protect each other", the aim of which is to encourage citizens to continue to adopt preventive measures to limit the spread of this virus.
These preventive measures include frequent hand washing with soap and water or a hydro-alcoholic solution, the wearing of masks and physical distancing, in addition to the use of the "Wiqaytna" application, available from 1 June for download on "Google Play", "App store", and on "www.wiqaytna.ma", stressed the same source.
