The number of cases excluded after negative results of laboratory tests has reached 12,389 additional cases, he added, noting that the figure of 10,000 tests per day, a target set by the National Monitoring and Response Plan To the new Coronavirus, was exceeded on Monday.
The death toll has remained at 205, with no deaths recorded in the past 24 hours, Mrabet said, adding that the fatality rate is 2.6%, well below the world average which currently stands at 5.9%.
In addition, the official said that 434 cases of recovery have been recorded in the last 24 hours, bringing to 5,893 the total number of recoveries in the Kingdom, which means that three quarters of confirmed cases have been cured, while at the world's level it reached 45.5%.
The number of active cases, that is people still in the care of health establishments, is 1,735, with a rate of 4.8/100,000 inhabitants, he added, stressing that the average age among these active cases is 35 years (39% of women and 61% of men).
The number of cases in intensive care stabilized in 13 cases distributed between the regions of Casablanca-Settat (6 cases), Tangier-Tétouan-Al Hoceima (4 cases), Marrakech-Safi (2 cases) and Fez-Meknès (one case).
Among the 26 new confirmed cases, 23 were detected under the contact person tracking system, which has so far involved 47,195 people, the official said, adding that 7,706 people are still under medical surveillance.
Mrabet concluded by saying that the epidemiological situation in the Kingdom is constantly improving, calling for preserving this achievement through compliance with quarantine restrictions.
