Garcia, who worked as an external adviser to the Secretary General of the Presidency of Mexico, also highlighted the "remarkable" initiatives undertaken by the Kingdom, including the creation, following the royal instructions, of a special fund dedicated to the management of the coronavirus pandemic and the mobilization of the Moroccan textile industry to produce millions of surgical masks per day.
The management of this unprecedented health crisis, through associating the productive sector, "was an element of strength and would be a lesson to be learned in order to maintain this capacity for rapid adaptation displayed by Morocco", he pointed out.
Commenting the economic crisis triggered by lockdown measures at the global level, the expert stressed that the pressing need for certain sectors to operate a partial or regional relocation of certain value chains of European industry, including the car and aeronautics sectors, "offers Morocco a great opportunity to attract foreign investment".
