During this meeting, which is part of the dynamic of strengthening permanent contacts with Spanish officials, Ms. Pilar Llop Cuenca welcomed the multidimensional cooperation between the two Kingdoms, expressing her desire to further develop the strategic partnership between the two countries in all areas.
For her part, Mrs. Karima gave a general overview of the democratic reforms undertaken by Morocco in the various fields, under the enlightened leadership of HM King Mohammed VI, as well as the achievements made in several fields such as democratic governance, the consecration of the rule of law, advanced regionalization, human development, human rights, the protection of public and individual freedoms and women's empowerment.
The Moroccan diplomat also highlighted the important steps taken by the two countries to reinforce interparliamentary dialogue, in particular through the institutionalization of the Moroccan-Spanish parliamentary forum.
Aware of the importance of this mechanism, which is an expression of the will of the two countries to raise their interparliamentary cooperation to the highest level, Ms. Pilar Llop Cuenca insisted on the need to resume the agenda of the 5th edition of the said Forum.
In this regard, Ms. Benyaich emphasized the excellent cooperation between the two Parliaments, recalling, in this regard, the importance of the Moroccan-Spanish Parliamentary Forum in terms of fruitful exchange, the next edition of which should to be held in Morocco.
