"The studies in Islamic sciences and cultural exchanges have made it possible to establish a solid bridge between Morocco and Indonesia, two countries which have many similarities and share the same values", noted Kobarsyih in a webinar organized under the theme "The fruits of Islamic scientific interaction between Indonesia and Morocco".
Speaking on the same occasion, the Ambassador of Morocco to Indonesia Ouadie Benabdellah said that centuries-old ties unite the two nations which are celebrating this year the 60th anniversary of the establishment of their diplomatic relations, calling for exploring new aspects of cooperation by moving towards the knowledge society.
The rector of the Indonesian Imam Bonjol University in Padang, Eka Putra Wirman, said that cultural and scientific exchanges have enriched, over time, the Moroccan-Indonesian relations, recalling the writings of several Moroccan scholars and historians who, during their travels in search of adventure and knowledge, went to Indonesia, the largest archipelago in the world.
This e-conference, which is part of a series of activities to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Morocco and Indonesia, is organized by the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in collaboration with the Moroccan Embassy in Indonesia, the Indonesian Embassy in Morocco and the Association of Indonesian Graduates of Moroccan Universities (HIMAMI).
