In a statement, the ministry noted that during a meeting, on Friday in Rabat, between the Interior Minister Abdelouafi Laftit, accompanied by the Minister Delegate for the Interior Noureddine Boutayeb, and the French Interior Minister GĂ©rald Darmanin, the two officials, who lauded the excellent bilateral relations, reviewed the aspects relating to cooperation between the interior ministries of the two countries, in particular those relating to the fight against illegal migration, drug trafficking and terrorism.
Affirming their satisfaction with the efforts made, the two ministers showed their determination to further strengthen security cooperation, in particular through the sharing of information and expertise and the consolidation of the legal framework governing their cooperation in this area, added the same source.
At the end of this meeting, the two ministers expressed their willingness to work closely to foster security cooperation between Morocco and France, bilaterally, regionally and multilaterally, the statement concluded.
