Speaking at a press conference on the presentation of the report on the new development model, Benmoussa stressed that this ambition, which is part of a common development reference, includes clear and measurable objectives, as part of a series of strategic choices with a transformative dimension.

He added that this new model requires leadership for change, which draws its effectiveness not only from the levers of change and the mobilization of funding sources and partnerships, but also through monitoring and impetus mechanisms that support collective ownership of all transformative projects that guarantee the conditions necessary for its success.

Benmoussa also noted that this proposed new development model constitutes a starting point for a new stage, to move forward in the societal project of the Kingdom, under the wise leadership of HM King Mohammed VI, which underlines the need to root the values ​​of responsible and active citizenship, to strengthen the feeling of belonging to the Nation and to embody the Moroccan identity as represented in history, and rich by the diversity of its cultural components and through its attachment to the values ​​of openness, dialogue and moderation.

This report, he went on to say, is the fruit of a year of hard work, through meetings, consultations and listening sessions, carried out by the Committee, to generate a clear and practical perception of Morocco to which we aspire, the Morocco of tomorrow where the human element is at the heart of public policy priorities, noting that this will help make Morocco a prosperous country, which integrates all its citizens, ensures the sustainability of its natural resources and which values ​​all its competences within the country and abroad.

"The Morocco to which we aspire will be a force capable of facing challenges and crises at regional and international dimensions, and of transforming its repercussions into opportunities for the development of our country," he said.

Benmoussa indicated that "our geographical positioning, our cultural heritage, our religious values ​​in harmony with noble human values, as well as the strong and long-standing links between the Monarchy and the People, which have been the basis of the great transformations that have taken place marked the development trajectory of our country throughout its history, are all factors that pave the way for Morocco to raise it to the rank of pioneer countries that embody the values ​​of dialogue, openness and partnership, in the service of the well-being of its citizens and in contribution to the construction of a better world".

He noted that this ambition has been reflected into targeted development objectives, which would propel the Kingdom in many areas to the upper third of the various world rankings of Nations, adding that this ambition requires a general mobilization of national competences, in order to give a strong impetus for development, in a global context marked by the intensity of complications and the speed of change.

Benmoussa affirmed that the report developed by the CSMD is the fruit of ideas, reflections and proposals elaborated by Moroccans, with Moroccans and for Moroccans, given that the Committee has adopted an approach based on listening to the citizens and the living forces of the Nation, as well as their integration in the search for solutions and the proposal, which embodies the collective intelligence approach adopted by the Committee during all stages of the development of this report.

In this context, the CSMD president recalled that the Committee held 250 working sessions, including listening and consultation sessions, field visits and debate with experts, in addition to 120 working sessions by members of the Committee, noting that these meetings made it possible to interact with around 10,000 people directly and with more than 3 million people via social networks.

The work of the Committee also received significant media coverage, through more than 16,000 articles and media content, which allowed to reach large categories of Moroccan society.

HM the King chaired, Tuesday at the Royal Palace in Fez, the presentation ceremony of the general report of the Ad-hoc Committee on the Development model and granted an audience, on this occasion, to Chakib Benmoussa, president of this Committee, who gave the sovereign a copy of this report.
