During the weekly government meeting, El Otmani stressed that the recent inter-ministerial meeting on the monitoring and implementation of the government's program concluded that "a large part of the commitments have been accomplished, while other measures are being implemented," said government spokesman Saaid Amzazi during a press briefing held at the end of this meeting.
The results of the government's achievements during the 4th year of its mandate are "honorable" thanks to the "tireless" efforts of members of the government and officials from all sectors and to "the team spirit which drives the collective action of government," he added.
The head of government noted that, in Morocco, the Covid-19 pandemic is "under control" and the number of people vaccinated is continuously increasing to around 9 million citizens, or nearly 1/3 of targeted people, welcoming the results of this campaign, thanks to the high directives of HM King Mohammed VI and the involvement of all stakeholders.
He recalled that the improvement of the epidemiological situation led the government to ease the restrictions decided in the context of the state of health emergency, after a favorable opinion from the scientific, health and security authorities, which was welcomed by several sectors and professions affected by the impact of the pandemic.
El Otmani referred in this regard to the decision of the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs to gradually reopen all the mosques in the Kingdom, in accordance with the high instructions of HM the King, Commander of the Faithful, before reiterating his call on citizens for strict compliance with preventive measures against the spread of the new Coronavirus.
At the end of his speech, the head of government said that all the departments "follow very closely" the evolution of the epidemiological situation and "attentively" examine the grievances of all sectors to mitigate the socio-economic repercussions of the pandemic and accelerate the economic recovery and the generalization of social coverage.
