The 20-year-old suspect was busted aboard a vehicle at the Kenitra motorway toll station, National Police (DGSN) said in a statement.

Search operations led to the seizure of 10,891 psychotropic tablets, the source pointed out.

Policemen also discovered in a flat used by the suspect a quantity of cannabis resin and a knife.

The defendant was placed on custody, while investigations are underway under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor's office.

This operation is part of the ongoing actions carried out by the security services to fight against drug-trafficking.
