3.4-Magnitude Earthquake Hits Ouazzane Province

Rabat - An earthquake with a 3.4-magnitude on the Richter scale was recorded Sunday in the province of Ouazzane, said the National Institute of Geophysics (ING).

The earthquake, whose epicenter is located in the commune of Sidi Redouane (Ouazzane province), occurred at 22h10min05sec (GMT+1), said the ING National Seismic Monitoring and Alarm Network in a seismic alarm bulletin.

The tremor occurred 39 km deep, with a latitude of 34.606 °N and longitude of 5.485°W, it added.
