The first rescue operation involved 75 Sub-Saharans whose boat was adrift, while the second saved the lives of 54 would-be illegal immigrants.
The various security services also thwarted two illegal emigration attempts which took place respectively 36 km from Boujdour and in the town of Aggriou (Tarfaya province).
Also in the city of Laayoune, 79 individuals from Sub-Saharan Africa who were about to head for the Canary Islands were arrested.
These operations are part of the sustained efforts of the Royal Gendarmerie, the Royal Navy, the Fisheries Delegation and local authorities to fight against illegal immigration and human trafficking.
