Magnitude-4 Quake Hits Driouch Province

Rabat - A quake of magnitude 4.0 on the Richter scale was recorded Thursday in the province of Driouch, said the National Institute of Geophysics (ING).

The tremor, whose epicenter is located off the province of Driouch, took place at 21H35min 22 sec (GMT+1), said the National Network of Monitoring and Seismic Alert, under the Institute, in a seismic alert bulletin.

Occurred at a depth of 22 kilometers, the quake took place at a latitude of 35.557 ° N and a longitude of 3.661 ° W, according to the same source.
