Nayef Aguerd opened the scoring for the Atlas Lions in the 10th minute before Mohammed Abuaagla Abdalla scored an own goal (54th) when he tried to deflect a shot from Moroccan international Ilias Chair.
With this victory, Morocco gets 3 precious points and is at the top of the group I, after the draw between Guinea and Guinea Bissau (1-1) during the game played on Wednesday.
In the 2nd day, the national squad will face its Guinean counterpart at the Lasana Conté stadium, in Conakry, on September 6 (5 pm).
Group I includes, alongside Morocco, Sudan and Guinea, Guinea Bissau which will face the Atlas Lions in the 3rd and 4th days.
