The only candidate for the presidency of the region, Moro won 56 votes out of the 63 members of the council, while 4 members abstained.
This session was also an opportunity to elect the eight vice-presidents of the Council of the region.
Speaking on this occasion, Moro affirmed the determination of the Council to be at the service of the inhabitants on an equal footing throughout the territory of the region, stressing that the Council will ensure the success of the national and regional challenges, and give a strong and new impetus for sustainable and inclusive territorial development, with the need to explore the prospects for implementation of the New Development Model.
