A total of 22,136,862 people have received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine in Morocco, while the number of fully vaccinated people (1st and 2nd doses) has reached 18,590,596, the ministry pointed out in its daily COVID-19 bulletin.
The total number of COVID-19 cases reported since the start of the outbreak of the virus stands at 929,699, while recoveries rise to 901,220, i.e. a recovery rate of 97%.
The new COVID-19 cases were reported in the regions of Rabat-Sale-Kenitra (201), Casablanca-Settat (80), Eastern Region (31), Dakhla-Oued Eddahab (20), Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima (19), Beni Mellal-Khenifra (11), Marrakech-Safi (9), Souss-Massa (8), Fez-Meknes (7), Draa-Tafilalet (6) and Laayoune-Sakia El Hamra (2).
As for coronavirus-related deaths, they rose to 14,199 with 32 fatalities reported over the past 24 hours in the regions of Rabat-Sale-Kenitra (16), Casablanca-Settat (8), Marrakech-Safi (3), Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima (2), Fez-Meknes (2) and the Eastern Region (1).
The number of active cases stands at 14,280, including 1,081 people in a critical or severe condition, the ministry said.
