A total of 22,463,549 people have received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine in Morocco, while the number of fully vaccinated people (1st and 2nd doses) has reached 18,923,931, the ministry pointed out in its daily COVID-19 bulletin.
The total number of COVID-19 cases reported since the start of the outbreak of the virus stands at 931,973, while recoveries rise to 904,552, i.e. a recovery rate of 97.1%.
The new COVID-19 cases were reported in the regions of Casablanca-Settat (447), Rabat-Sale-Kenitra (298), Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima (120), Eastern Region (38), Beni Mellal-Khenifra (34), Marrakech-Safi (32), Souss-Massa (31), Fez-Meknes (29), Dakhla-Oued Eddahab (21), Guelmim-Oued Noun (14), Laayoune-Sakia El Hamra (12) and Daraa-Tafilalet (06).
As for coronavirus-related deaths, they rose to 14,248 with 23 fatalities reported over the past 24 hours in the regions of Rabat-Sale-Kenitra (08), Casablanca-Settat (05), Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima (02), Marrakech-Safi (03), Fez-Meknes (03), Souss-Massa (01) and Daraa-Tafilalet (01).
The number of active cases stands at 13,173, including 910 people in a critical or severe condition, the ministry said.
