A total of 22,632,510 people have received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine in Morocco, while the number of fully vaccinated people (1st and 2nd doses) has reached 19,069,557, the ministry pointed out in its daily COVID-19 bulletin.
The total number of COVID-19 cases reported since the start of the outbreak of the virus stands at 933,071, while recoveries rise to 906,160, i.e. a recovery rate of 97.1%.
The new COVID-19 cases were reported in the regions of Rabat-Sale-Kenitra (400), Casablanca-Settat (391), Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima (76), Eastern Region (67), Marrakech-Safi (33), Souss-Massa (29), Beni Mellal-Khenifra (25), Fez-Meknes (21), Dakhla-Oued Eddahab (19), Draa-Tafilalet (17), Laayoune-Sakia El Hamra (16) and Guelmim-Oued Noun (04).
As for coronavirus-related deaths, they rose to 14,267 with 19 fatalities reported over the past 24 hours in the regions of Rabat-Sale-Kenitra (09), Marrakech-Safi (03), Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima (02), Souss-Massa (02), Beni Mellal-Khenitra (02) and Fez-Meknes (01).
The number of active cases stands at 12,644, including 876 people in a critical or severe condition, the ministry said.
