Built on an area of 704 m2, this new facility with a capacity of 68 beds, also aims to accommodate and provide care for children abandoned in hospitals and those deprived of family, in accordance with Law 15-01 on abandoned children, even to encourage the kafala of this category according to legal provisions.
This center, which is a social, educational, psychological and medical establishment, is intended to receive and house children aged 3 to 16 years (44 beds) and babies aged 0 to 3 years (24 beds), with the aim of developing their abilities in a healthy environment.
The cost of this important project is in the order of more than 13.62 million dirhams, including study, construction and equipment costs, within the framework of a partnership involving the Moroccan League for Child Protection (LMPE) (MAD 2.62 mln), the National Initiative for Human Development (INDH) (MAD 3 mln) and the Regional Council (MAD 3 mln), as well as the Agence du Sud, the Fousboucraa Foundation, the Communal Council and the Provincial Councils of Oued Eddahab and Aousserd, with an amount of one million dirhams each.
The management of this facility has been entrusted to the Moroccan League for Child Protection.
