Magnitude-2.6 Quake Registered off Ouarzazate Province

Rabat - A quake of magnitude 2.6 on the Richter scale was recorded Sunday off the province of Ouarzazate, said the National Institute of Geophysics (ING).

The tremor, whose epicenter is located in the commune of Ouisselsate, took place at 02h 34min 46sec (GMT+1), said the National Network of Monitoring and Seismic Alert, under the said Institute.

At a depth of three kilometers, the quake took place at a latitude of 30.651 °N and a longitude of 7.028 °W, according to the same source.
