Magnitude-2 Quake Registered off Ouarzazate Province

Rabat - A quake of magnitude 2 on the Richter scale was recorded Monday off the province of Ouarzazate, said the National Institute of Geophysics (ING).

The tremor, whose epicenter is located in the commune of Tarmigt, took place at 07h 09min 10 sec (GMT+1), said the National Network of Monitoring and Seismic Alert, under the said Institute.

At a depth of 20 kilometers, the quake took place at a latitude of 30.776°N and a longitude of 7.039 °W, according to the same source.
