Drug Trafficking Operation Foiled Off Tangier (Military Source)
Rabat - A Royal Navy coast guard on patrol in the Strait of Gibraltar, in collaboration with surveillance stations, aborted a drug trafficking operation in the early hours of Sunday off the coast of Tangier, a military source said.
"After a go-fast pursuit, the operation resulted in the arrest of 05 traffickers and the seizure of about three tons of chira," the same source noted.
The suspects and the seized cargo were handed over to the Royal Gendarmerie of Tangier, it added.
