Magnitude-3.1 Quake Registered in Ouarzazate Province

Rabat - A quake of magnitude 3.1 on the Richter scale was recorded Thursday in the province of Ouarzazate, said the National Institute of Geophysics (ING).

The tremor, whose epicenter is located in the commune of Ouisselsate, took place at 8h19min44sec p.m. (GMT+1), said the National Network of Monitoring and Seismic Alert under the said Institute.

At a depth of two kilometers, the quake took place at a latitude of 30.645°N and a longitude of 6.978°W, according to the same source.
