"Morocco, the first African country to join the ITF, is very interested in issues related to the decarbonization of transport and road safety. The Kingdom is strongly committed to these issues," he said in a statement to M24, the news channel of MAP, after a meeting with Minister of Transport and Logistics, Mohamed Abdeljalil.
"We have decided to become more involved in the development of ITF," said Tae Kim, who took part in the fall sessions of the ITF bodies, held from 25 to 29 October in Rabat.
He also noted that both parties are committed to working towards the success of the annual Summit of the Forum, scheduled for May 18-20, 2022 in Leipzig, Germany.
In a similar statement, the Director of Land Transport and Logistics at the Ministry of Transport and Logistics, Noureddine Dib, noted that the meeting between Kim and Abdeljalil focused on the program and preparations for the annual Summit of the ITF, which will be held under the presidency of Morocco.
He emphasized the importance of this meeting to promote the membership of African countries in the ITF, support the representativeness of the continent within the Forum and direct the work of its research groups to issues specific to Africa.
