Signed by the Director of the Royal Archives Bahija Simou, and the Chairman of the National Records and Archives Authority of Oman, Hamad bin Mohammed Al Dhwayani, the agreement aims to reinforce cooperation in the transcription of documents, the printing and exchange of manuscripts and books, and the conservation and safeguard of documents.

It also intends to strengthen cooperation on editing cultural, literary and historical documentary materials and the organization of conferences, exhibitions, and workshops on the management of documents and archives as well as the exchange of experiences via training and scientific research.
