Tangier's security services had received on Tuesday night, a complaint of theft at gunpoint inside an insurance agency located in Souani neighborhood. This required the opening of a judicial investigation that led to the identification and arrest of the suspect, National Police (DGSN) said in a statement.

The same source specified that search operations allowed the seizure of identity documents in the name of a woman who had also filed a complaint for theft, of which the suspect is allegedly the author.

The man was taken into custody pending investigations led under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor's office, to uncover these criminal acts, the statement concluded.
