Magnitude-3.3 Quake Recorded in Al Haouz Province

Rabat - A quake of magnitude 3.3 on the Richter scale was recorded on Thursday off the coast of the Al Haouz province, said the National Institute of Geophysics (ING).

The tremor, whose epicenter is located in the commune of Oukaïmiden, occured at 00h 14min 40sec (GMT+1), said the National Network of Monitoring and Seismic Alert, under the said Institute.

At a depth of 12 kilometers, the quake took place at a latitude of 31.228°N and a longitude of 7.824°W, according to the same source.
