Royal Navy Assists 177 Would-be Immigrants, Mostly Sub-Saharans (Military Source)
Rabat - Coast guards of the Royal Navy operating in the South Atlantic, have assisted, Wednesday, 177 would-be immigrants, mostly Sub-Saharans, including 52 women and 20 children, who were on board makeshift inflatable boats, a military source said.
All the rescued, who were in a deteriorated state of health, received the necessary first aid on board the units of the Royal Navy before being brought back safe to the ports of Boujdour and Dakhla and handed over to the Royal Gendarmerie for the usual legal procedures, the same source said.
